With the start of the World Games 2022, on the 7th of July 2022 and finishing on the 17th of July, we are now at the stage enjoyed by all cue sport enthusiasts. At 18:30 SAT the men’s pool, women’s pool and carom start their proceedings.
In the first match in the men’s pool we have the South African Aden Joseph from Johannesburg representing South Africa. He will be up against a multiple World Champion (2016, 2021). This will be a tough battle for the young star from South Africa. Aden has been a star in South Africa, but mostly featured on the smaller 7ft table, either playing eightball pool or blackball.
As of January this year Aden however took on the whole of Africa at the All Africa Championship.Where he showed his natural ability on the larger 9ft table. He ended up playing another beloved South African player, who we recently saw playing at the World Cup of Pool 2022, Kyle Akaloo. Aden was the victor in this encounter beating Kyle 9 – 6.
Thus making Aden Joseph the All African Champion in 9 Ball.
We wish Aden the best of luck as he faces a tough field consisting of other superstars such as, Shane Van Boening, Joshua Filler and Francisco Sánchez Ruíz.
